Bethlehem Inn seeks volunteers to help facelift

KTVZ

Webfoot Painting has started their 2013 Charity Giveaway project at the Bethlehem Inn. The exterior surfaces of the Inn’s three buildings have only received light touch up and partial painting over the last 10 years, meaning a lot of work has to be done.

This Saturday, the Webfoot Painting team plan to change all that!

The work began last Friday, May 3 with Mike Accardo of Quality Interior Works and Mike Montgomery of Montgomery Builders taking on the replacement of 140 feet of fascia that was severely weathered and falling apart. Miller Lumber donated the 140 feet of new fascia and the Mike’s took care of the rest!

On Saturday, their entire team of seriously great painters will hit the complex in a one-day painting makeover!

With the majority of the siding being vinyl, our efforts will be focused on the severely rusted metal railings, stairs and posts, about 40 front doors and door trim, the drive-up entrance to the Bethlehem Inn, and the neglected backside of the largest building where the fascia board was replaced.

They are looking for about 10 volunteers to assist with this project.

A couple of the projects they will be taking on require some serious prep work, and although these tasks don’t require great painting prowess, they do require lots of hands and lots of hours. Lunch will be provided, as well as a Webfoot t-shirt and all needed tools. All you need to bring is your positive attitude!

The Bethlehem Inn is Central Oregon’s ONLY emergency shelter; providing shelter, food and support to over 1,000 adults and children last year; 66,000 meals were served to those in crisis.
