Oregon GOP leader Gallagher visits C. Oregon

KTVZ

Earlier this year, the Oregon Republican Party chose a new leader, and this weekend, new Chairwoman Suzanne Gallagher visited Central Oregon.

Gallagher met with Republican leaders from Crook, Deschutes and Jefferson counties, part of her mission to travel around the state and energize her party.

Gallagher said there are many reasons for Republicans to have hope for the future.

She told us in the upcoming elections, she believes you will see a surge of people getting on board with Republicans.

“We are all about free enterprise, people being able to build their own businesses and be successful and high regulations,” Gallagher said. “High taxes do not go together with all those values. I think we will be seeing quite a shift — people are waking up an finding those policies aren’t really working these days.”

The Oregon Republican Party will hold its convention this August in Bend at The Riverhouse.

Gallagher says to expect to see her speaking out more, to help keep people informed.
