KTVZ

The Humane Society of Central Oregon received 30 stray and owner-relinquished animals Monday and 10 more arrived Saturday, filling the Bend shelter nearly to capacity, officials said.

Shelter officials asked the community to reclaim their animals as soon as possible, since they now have 34 dogs and 46 cats.

“Current identification tags, microchips and dog licenses are essential to quickly reuniting you with your pet,” said Lynne Ouchida, community outreach manager.

“The Humane Society of Central Oregon is asking for the community to help by quickly reclaiming their animals,” Ouchida said.

The Humane Society of Central Oregon posts stray animals at the end of each day at www.hsco.org/strays.

The shelter is located on 27 th street just south of Reed Market Road. The Bend shelter is open Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 5:30 pm and Saturday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. For more information call 541.382.3537.
