Natural gas work to affect Bend Westside streets
Cascade Natural Gas Corp.’s Phase 2 of the west side pipeline replacement project in Bend is scheduled to begin Monday. Cascade is updating infrastructure to ensure customers have safe and efficient gas service now and well into the future.
Phase 2 of the project is expected to last through November, weather pending. The project begins Monday in the alley between Northwest Ogden Avenue and Northwest Newport Avenue, at the intersection with Northwest Fifth Street, working west to Northwest Eighth Street.
Concurrently, the project will begin on Tumalo Avenue near the Galveston Bridge to the intersection of Riverside and Tumalo. The project’s contractor is Northwest Metal Fab & Pipe.
The project may create some disruption in normal traffic routes during the day for some people. This activity will be kept as minimal as possible and will be cleaned up daily. Customers within the area of the pipeline replacement will be contacted regarding the service lines and meter updates.
Construction updates will be posted on Cascade’s website (www.cngc.com) and Facebook page (www.facebook.com/cascadenaturalgas).
