News Producer Anchor Reporter

NPG of Oregon Inc., a cluster of television stations that broadcasts live news on the NBC and FOX affiliates in Bend, Oregon is accepting applications for News producer/anchor/reporter. This position will be responsible for producing, reporting, and presenting enterprising stories on our top rated newscasts. We are looking for someone who combines strong journalistic skills with a personality that will make our newscast more than a series of stories.

Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, and strong news judgment. Candidates should be highly skilled at time management, organized, creative and a problem solver. Familiarity with non-linear editing, ENPS and enterprise story telling are a plus.

A valid Oregon driver’s license or the ability to obtain one is required.

This position will be responsible for assisting the main producer of our top rated NewsChannel 21 at Sunrise program with editing video, writing teases and running teleprompter. This position works early morning hours of 2am to 10am. This is not an on-air reporting position.

Candidates should be highly skilled at time management, organized, creative and a problem solver. Familiarity with non-linear editing, ENPS and enterprise story telling are a plus. Recent college graduates looking to begin a broadcast news career are encouraged to apply
