Man, woman in custody after SE Bend stabbing
A Bend man and woman were arrested after another man was stabbed twice during a dispute Saturday night at a southeast Bend trailer park, police said Monday. However, officers said they have not yet been charged in that crime as the investigation continues.
Police responded around 9:20 p.m. to the reported dispute involving several people at 330 SE Woodland Boulevard, said Lt. Chris Carney.
An investigation revealed that the victim, Raphael Lloyd, 40, was intoxicated and walking past the residence of Kinder Alyene Killian, 38, when they got into an argument, Carney said.
Killian reportedly retrieved a knife from inside her home and confronted Lloyd on the street. The argument turned physical when Killian allegedly stabbed Lloyd in the side, Carney said.
Two other people, including David Richard Kingma, 43, became involved in the altercation, at which time Lloyd was stabbed a second time, in the lower back.
Lloyd was taken to St. Charles-Bend and underwent surgery, Carney said, but his injuries are not life-threatening.
Kinder was held at the Deschutes County Jail on warrants for failure to appear on earlier drug possession and theft charges, while Kingma was held on a parole violation warrant.
Anyone with information in the case was asked to contact Detective Robert Jones at (541) 322-2960.
Several police officers were back at a trailer Sunday afternoon taking photographs, collecting evidence and interviewing neighbors.
