Shot fired near SE Bend pub; suspect sought
Bend police released a photo and turned to the public for help Friday in identifying a man who allegedly fired a gunshot near a southeast Bend pub on Tuesday during an argument with a passing motorist.
Officers were dispatched around 5:25 p.m. Tuesday to a reported weapons offense at the Third Street Pub, at 314 SE Third Street, said Sgt. Nick Parker.
The initial report said a man had fired a gun at someone in the pub’s parking lot, then ran before police were called, Parker said.
Investigating officers confirmed one round had been fired on SE Woodland Boulevard, near the pub, during an altercation with people in a passing vehicle, the sergeant said, adding that no one was injured.
Investigators obtained video surveillance and released a photo of the suspect, who they said is unknown to them.
Anyone with information that could help identify the suspect is asked to contact Bend police at (541) 693-6911.
