Crawford runs for second Crook Co. Commission term

KTVZ

Crook County Commissioner Seth Crawford announced Wednesday his intention to seek a second term on the Crook County Court.

Crook County Neighbors,

Four years ago, when I began going door to door talking to people about our county I heard a lot about the direction that we were headed in and what we could do to improve things. People were worried about jobs and whether their children would be able to find a job and raise their families in Crook County. They wanted to attract new businesses and strengthen existing ones, but they didn’t want to lose the traditions and values that make our county a special place to live. They gave me their time and I gave them my word that if I was elected to the Crook County Commission I would do all that I could to strengthen our economy and preserve our values.

Its four years later, and things have gotten better. We implemented some sensible incentives to bring in a couple of pretty big name employers, and kept Woodgrain Mill and other businesses in our community. We streamlined our building and planning departments in order to establish a single, efficient, community development department to help cut through bureaucratic red tape. We made our County Court agendas available online, so that folks would know when we were discussing an issue that was important to them. And, we made protecting the values and traditions of Crook County a priority.

When my daughter Chloe sees the “Flags of Prineville Project” and asks me about why all the flags are on the street, I’m able to use it as an opportunity to teach her about patriotism, the founders that fought for our freedom, and the hundreds of thousands of American heroes that have given their lives for our great country. When we raised the money to light the American Flag at the entrance of Prineville, we were shining a light on those same values and traditions and letting our children know how important they are to us.

I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished during my three years as a county commissioner, but I know there is work left for us to do. I want to continue to be a champion for Crook County, for our families, veterans, seniors, and our small business owners. That’s why I’ve decided to run for reelection. I need your help and support for my campaign. Thank you for all that you do and God Bless.
