Red Cross Thanksgiving blood drive offers T-shirt, pie
For many, Thanksgiving is a time-honored tradition of giving thanks with friends and relatives. As an inspirational start to the giving season, American Red Cross will be open for blood donations.
In conjunction with Thanksgiving, presenting donors from Wednesday, November 27 through Sunday, December 1 will receive a short-sleeved, American Red Cross t-shirt and presenting donors on Thanksgiving Day will also receive a pumpkin pie (all while supplies last) as a token of our thanks.
Thanksgiving Day, November 27, 2013, the Bend Red Cross will open its doors from 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The Red Cross Donor Center is located at 815 SW Bond St Suite 110 Bend, OR 97702. The American Red Cross wants to provide you with great donor experience; appointments are advised, to reserve your appointment time, please call 1-800-RED CROSS.
Every day including holidays, the Red Cross supplies lifesaving blood around the clock. The holidays bring families and friends together in hopeful times to share in celebrations and special times of giving. For families dealing with a cancer diagnosis or other major illness, the holidays can be a difficult time. Each of us can help spread hope this holiday season by giving something that doesn’t cost a thing, but can offer so much more. The need for blood is constant and used to treat cancer patients, trauma and burn victims, premature babies, organ-transplant patients, and those living with chronic blood diseases.
