J Bar J gets $25,000 grant
J Bar J Youth Services is pleased to announce the award of a $25,000 grant for one year of capacity-building to meet the needs of at-risk youth in Central Oregon.
J Bar J is seeking to further diversify revenue for the five programs serving teens which include; Academy at Sisters, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Oregon, Cascade Youth and Family Center, the Learning Center, and the J Bar J Ranch.
The mission of The Oregon Community Foundation is to improve life in Oregon and promote effective philanthropy. OCF works with individual as, families, businesses and organizations to create charitable funds to support the community causes they care about. Through these funds, OCF awards more than $60 million annually in grants and scholarships.
The Foundation makes grants through an application process that involves local citizens in the review and evaluation of requests for funds.
