KTVZ

The Bethlehem Inn announced Monday that three new officers have been elected to its Board of Directors.

Pete Sandgren has been elected President. Sandgren is committed to volunteering his time to help support the community and to that end he was elected to the Inn’s Board in early 2013; he also dedicates his time to a weekly shift in the front office of the Inn. As a former owner of a data management company, Sandgren moved to Bend with his family in 2008.

Hugh Palcic has been elected as Vice-President of the Board of Directors. Palcic is currently the General Manager of the Sunriver Owners Association and is also a member of the Deschutes County Planning Commission. Seeing the Inn’s mission of shelter, help and hope in action confirmed the importance of the work and cemented his willingness to support the organization.

Jeff Gullickson has been elected as Treasurer. Gullickson is a Certified Public Accountant who joined SGA Certified Public Accountants in 2013. Accounting is Jeff’s second career, after having owned and operated a successful photography business in Chehalis, Washington for many years. Gullickson was elected to the Inn’s Board of Directors in November, 2013.

The Bethlehem Inn elected two new board members: Tom Kemper, Executive Director of Housing Works, is keenly interested in the issue of homelessness and wants to help mitigate the issue in Central Oregon. He has 25 years of experience in development, finance and real estate that he brings to the board. Rob Tucker has over twenty years of experience in the affordable housing sector, including housing for those with special needs and shelters for homeless populations. Most recently he was a principal and President of Public Private Partnerships, Inc., a multi-functional real estate development firm.

The Bethlehem Inn is Central Oregon’s ONLY emergency shelter; providing shelter, food and support to over 1,000 adults and children last year; 63,000 meals were served to those in crisis.
