Vandals slash car tires in NW Bend

KTVZ

Sometime between Saturday night and early Sunday morning, four cars on the west side of Bend had their tires slashed.

All four cars were parked near the corner of northwest Jefferson Place and Broadway Street. We learned of this incident after one of the victims called into our newsroom to report the acts of vandalism.

He said he noticed his car tire was flat, but quickly realized it wasn’t a coincidence after seeing the other cars. He then called it a senseless act of vandalism, and had some choice words for the vandals.

“First I’d try to get a check from them to repair the damage to my vehicle,” Fred Johnson said. “I’d also let them know what a real inconvenience it is to not only myself, but our community.”

Police say it is in an open investigation. There have been no arrests made, as well as no suspects.

Anyone with information is asked to call non-emergency dispatch at (541) 693-6911.
