Bend-La Pine Schools Assistant Superintendent of Elementary Programs Lora Nordquist announced Monday that Kelle Hildebrandt will be Elk Meadow Elementary School’s next principal.
Hildebrandt said that she looks forward to using integrated instruction in ways that engage students and foster life-long learning.
“I’m honored and excited about the opportunity to work alongside the Elk Meadow staff as they continue to build their integrated arts focus program,” Hildebrandt said. “I love the way arts integration provides students with a connection between real life and academic skills and provides added depth to learning.”
Hildebrandt has been in education for 19 years, seven of which were in assistant principal and student services roles at Highland and R.E. Jewell elementary schools in Bend.
“Kelle has demonstrated outstanding leadership at Jewell and Highland and in district curriculum projects as well,” said Nordquist. “I am excited for her to have the opportunity to lead the Elk Meadow School community.”
Hildebrandt will assume her new role on July 1, 2014.
