Mosaic Medical names two new board members

KTVZ

Mosaic Medical is pleased to welcome two new members, Jana (Sandy) Giardini and Lisa Severa, to our Board of Directors.

Sandy Giardini is a longtime Central Oregon resident who comes to Mosaic Medical with a vast healthcare background including critical care, nursing administration and healthcare operations. She worked most recently as the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) for St. Charles Redmond.

“I am honored to use my education and experience to contribute toward the improvement of the health of our community as a new Mosaic Medical board member,” Sandy stated.

Lisa Severa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Development and Elementary Education and has lived in Terrebonne since 2012. She brings a unique perspective to our Board of Directors as Lisa has experienced what it is like to navigate the healthcare system as both an uninsured patient and one with insurance.

Lisa is a Mosaic Medical patient and is a member of the Mosaic Redmond Patient Advisory Council. She is passionate about making quality healthcare accessible to all residents of Central Oregon.

Mosaic Medical CEO Megan Haase states, “We are happy to welcome both Sandy and Lisa to our Board of Directors and are especially excited about the unique perspective that both can bring to making us as responsive and proactive as possible to our community and patient needs.”

As a non-profit federally qualified health center (FQHC) system, Mosaic Medical is governed by a board of directors. The board includes a majority (at least 56%) of active, registered patients of the health care system who are representative of the populations served by Mosaic Medical. The governing board ensures that the organization is community based and responsive to the community’s health care needs.
