KTVZ

The Bethlehem Inn has received a commitment from The Collins Foundation for a $20,000 Challenge Grant. The match funding will help support the Inn’s program providing shelter, meals and support services to over 1,100 homeless adults and children in Central Oregon.

“We are very excited about this endorsement from The Collins Foundation”, stated Gwenn Wysling, Executive Director of the Inn. “This challenge grant means that each $1,000 donation made during our annual Spotlight on Homelessness fundraising dinner will be matched dollar for dollar up to $20,000.

“Having a donor’s money doubled as a result of The Collins Foundation is a great investment for our $1,000+ donors, our residents and our community! Proceeds from the May 6 dinner at The Riverhouse Convention Center will be dedicated to providing a warm, safe place to sleep, meals, clothing and support services – all vital components of the Inn’s program serving the disadvantaged adults and families in our community.”

The Bethlehem Inn provided shelter, food and support to 822 individuals and children last year; over 67,000 meals were served to those in crisis and another 1,473 food boxes were provided to those in crisis. Another 341 non-residents received food and support services.
