The Central Oregon Visitors Association is thrilled to announce it has been honored with a 2014 MAGGIE Award for its 2013 Official Visitors Guide.

The MAGGIEs are presented each year by the Western Publishing Association, who for more than 60 years has awarded businesses and individuals for work deemed “Best in the West” in a wide variety of publishing categories.

COVA’s annual visitor’s guide is the region’s most comprehensive collection of things to do, sights to see, places to stay and where to eat. Filled with descriptive stories, inspiring itineraries and amazing images compiled and written by COVA staff and its partners at 1859 Media, 100,000 copies of the 100-page glossy magazine are distributed each year.

The 2013 edition was named “Best Visitor Guide” (circulation over 75,000.)

“The Central Oregon Visitors Association is incredibly proud to have our Official Central Oregon Visitors Guide recognized as ‘Best Visitor Guide’ at the annual MAGGIE Awards”, said Alana Hughson, COVA President & CEO.

“The exceptional production team at 1859 Media does an outstanding job for COVA with their professional editorial content, photography and layout. It is a privilege to have this work recognized at the MAGGIE Awards.”

According to the Western Publishing Association website, the MAGGIE Awards Banquet is the most prestigious publishing event in the West with professionals from 24 states honor excellence in print and electronic publishing in over 100 editorial, design, promotional and event categories.
