Pine Nursery pickleball courts open Saturday

KTVZ

The community is invited to play pickleball at the new pickleball court complex at Pine Nursery Park beginning Saturday, May 24th.

The addition of eight pickleball courts is the result of the collaborative efforts of the Bend Pickleball Club and Bend Park and Recreation District. Bend Pickleball Club contributed nearly $100,000 in financial support for the complex.

The Pine Nursery Park complex is available for open play Monday through Saturday, 12:30 pm to dusk, and Sunday, all day. There is no charge for open play.

The complex is reserved for organized play through the Bend Pickleball Club every Monday through Saturday, 7:00 am to 12:30 pm.

The public is welcome to register for organized play with the club at www.bendpickleballclub.com. There is a $5 fee for a half-day of organized play.

Additional pickleball courts are available at Larkspur, Ponderosa and Quail parks.

Participants need to bring their own net to Larkspur and Ponderosa parks; a permanent net is available at Quail Park. The schedule for pickleball courts is available at: www.bendparksandrec.org/Parks__Trails/Park_Features/Pickleball/
