Forest Service drops Sisters paved path plan

KTVZ

The Sisters Ranger District ranger has dropped plans to build a paved path near Sisters.

The rescinded decision would have created a 1.1-mile, 12-foot-wide multi-use path between Sisters High School and Crossroads subdivision.

By rescinding the decision, the path will no longer be built, officials said Tuesday.

Sisters District Ranger Kristie Miller chose to rescind her decision based on the additional public comment following the decision.

She undertook the additional public comment to correct errors made during the initial public comment process.

“After hearing from a broad group of people, I believe the project is not supported by the majority of the community and is not in the best interest of the community at this time,” Miller said
