Bend Spay and Neuter Project will offer discounted microchips on Saturday June 28 th in anticipation of the 4 th of July holiday.

Microchips will be offered at a cost of $15 each from 10am to 2pm at this walk in clinic located at 910 SE Wilson ste. B-1 near the corner of 9 th and Wilson. The normal cost for a microchip at Bend Spay and Neuter Project is $25.

Every year thousands of pets end up in shelters on July 4 th and 5 th . The quickest and easiest way for shelter staff to reunite you with your pet is by making sure your pet is chipped before this holiday!

Microchips are implanted between your pet’s shoulder blades in a short, relatively painless procedure that takes just minutes to complete. Microchips are the size of a grain of rice, so once they are implanted you will never even know they are there.

While microchips do not work like a GPS system, the microchips implanted at Bend Spay and Neuter Project which are called “Save This Life” www.savethislife.com do enable you to Google a found pet’s chip number, which is located on their tag, in order to access information about the pet and his family, eliminating the need to take the pet to the shelter or a veterinarian to find the pet’s chip number.

No one plans on losing their pet, so Bend Spay and Neuter Project, along with local shelters, implore you to have your pets microchipped. It’s the best thing you can do to guarantee their safe return home!

The mission of Bend Spay and Neuter Project is to provide affordable, preventative veterinary services to at risk cats and dogs in Central Oregon in order to create a more humane community. All of our programs are geared towards keeping pets happy and healthy in their homes.
