C.O. police report holiday weekend enforcement tallies

Central Oregon law enforcement agencies on Wednesday reported the results of their four-day High Visibility Enforcement (HVE) campaign dedicated to DUII enforcement occurring over the Labor Day holiday weekend.

The Bend Police Department dedicated officers to both grant funded overtime and straight time enforcement over the holiday weekend resulting in four DUII arrests, four driving with suspended licenses, three uninsured motorists, two for speeding and seven other citations.

The Oregon State Police Bend Area Command reported four DUII arrests for the holiday period.

The Redmond Police Department reported two DUII arrests — one a felony — as well as two for possession of a controlled substance, one for identity theft and one driving with a suspended license,.

This HVE enforcement is funded by overtime funds through the Oregon Department of Transportation.
