City of Bend hosts UGB online discussion

The city of Bend has created a venue to have an online discussion about the Urban Growth Boundary at bendvoice.org.

The UGB is a boundary around the city that contains urban development and identifies20 years’ worth of residential and economic land.

The city is currently engaging citizens to advisethe UGBsteering committee on land-use, transportation, infrastructure and other related topics as the city develops a new UGB plan as required by the state.

Citizen committees are meeting regularly and discussing: 1) Residential land needs 2) Employment land needs and 3) Boundary and growth scenarios. All of these play into the UGB plan.

This online forum is wherethe entire community canhave conversations without attending the meetings. On bendvoice.org, we will share some of the intriguingquestions that arise in advisory committee meetings and ask you for your input. Please join the discussion. Invite your friends to chime in too.
