Amber Alert issued for Vancouver, Wash., boy

An Amber Alert has been issued for a 9-year-old boy who has been abducted by his father in Vancouver, Washington. Police said early Wednesday they may be traveling through Central Oregon.

Andrey Voronenko, 9, was last seen Tuesday afternoon at 400 SE 164th Street in Vancouver. He was taken by his father, 38-year-old Alexey Voronenko, who police say has been diagnosed as a paranoid schizophrenic. Police believe the child may be in danger.

They may be traveling in a 2007 dark gray Honda Accord with Texas license CKK3638.

Around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, Central Oregon police were advised the man reportedly used a debit card in the Warm Springs area around 9 p.m. and may be heading to Texas.

Andrey Voronenko, 9, is Ukranian and has brown hair and green eyes . He is believed to be 4′ 10″ tall and weighs around 74 lbs. He was last seen wearing a navy polo with pink stripes, grey pants, blue and grey tennis shoes and a dark navy rain coat.

Alexey Voronenko, 38, is Russian with brown graying hair, blue eyes and a mustache. He is believed to be 6’2″ tall and weighs around 300 lbs.
