Redmond seeks advisors on mid-town planning

KTVZ

The city of Redmond is seeking volunteers from the community to participate on a Project Advisory Committee to advise the city on revitalization and redevelopment in the City Center Mid-Town area, bounded by Jackpine Avenue to the North, Antler Avenue to the South, 3 rd Street to the East and 8 th Street to the West.

A master plan will be developed to improve the economic viability of business properties within the area.

This planning effort is funded through a collaborative EPA grant with Deschutes County. Funds will be used to assess the area for highest and best land uses utilizing market research in an effort to revitalize the area and encourage investment, economic development and job creation.

Community residents, business owners and property owners who are interested in participating in this planning process are invited to apply to be part of the Project Advisory Committee. This committee will meet monthly for about 6 – 8 months with a consultant team to craft a development strategy for the area.

If you are interested, please call Gabriel Martin, Project Coordinator with the City of Redmond, at 541-923-7761 or email him at gabriel.martin@ci.redmond.or.us for details and an application.
