Klamath Co. mushroom picker finds remains
A mushroom picker found human remains off state Highway 138 in Klamath County Thursday, and authorities said they believe they are those of a man missing for about two years.
The mushroom picker reported his findings to Klamath County 911 shortly after 6 p.m. Thursday, said Administrative Sgt. Darren Frank.
Deputies responded and confirmed the remains were human. They “are believed to be those of a man authorities have been looking for since 2012,” Frank wrote.
No foul is suspected at this time, the sergeant said, adding that the investigation is continuing until the remains are positively identified.
