Fun in the snow: A healthy taste of winter
The weekend welcomed many changes in the weather, and the chilly temperatures mean the seasons are changing quickly!
Although we had a mix of weather in the lower elevations, up in the mountains was a whole different story on Sunday. With mostly cloudy skies and fresh snow, it was glove, scarf and hat weather up at Mt. Bachelor.
“It’s great! We’re waiting! We’ve been waiting! There are people over there already hiking,” Matt Silver said.
They couldn’t wait to get up to the snow.
“We hike up, we do the cone,” Silver said.
They’ve been waiting patiently for their favorite season. Silver considers his family “winter people.”
But on a day like Sunday, the seasons can get confusing.
“People are golfing right now. I think I have golf clubs in my car right now still; I don’t know which one to do,” Silver said.
With over half a foot of fresh snow, the Silvers definitely chose snow.
“This is our passion. This is why I live here,” Silver said.
So once they are all clipped into their cross-country skis, almost everyone is ready to go.
“We’ve got the dog — he’s lost right now, but we’ll find him somehow,” Silver said.
And they were on their way..
“Pray for snow!” Silver said as they headed off.
