Make new friends, have fun, be part of an exciting worldwide volunteer program, impact people’s lives positively, and help maintain your own self-management skills by becoming a Living Well Leader!

The Deschutes County Living Well With Chronic Conditions program is now recruiting Living Well Leaders to facilitate Chronic Disease Self-Management Program (CDSMP) workshops for people who have one or more chronic conditions (diabetes, emphysema, arthritis, migraine headaches, and heart disease, for example). Leaders will always co-facilitate with each other, no previous knowledge about chronic illness needed-all teaching is done from a detailed manual.

How to become a Living Well Leader: If you’re curious about helping others live healthier, then don’t miss the next Living Well Program Leader training to be held in Bend December 8, 9, 15, and 16 (this is a free, four-day training, 6-hours a day.) Potential Leaders must attend all four days of the free training and be prepared to complete applicable evening homework assignments.
