Bend sets Dec. 4 Galveston Ave. design meeting

KTVZ

The city of Bend is inviting the public to offer feedback on design concepts for the Galveston Avenue corridor at a meeting held from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 4, in Council Chambers at City Hall, 710 NW Wall Street, Bend.

Over the past eight months, the city of Bend has been working with a community Task Force and a City Technical Advisory Committee to develop a streetscape concept design for Galveston Avenue.

With input from these community groups, staff have developed preliminary concepts with the vision and goals of the project in mind. The options will improve safety and reduce congestion at the intersection of Galveston Avenue and Harmon Boulevard and will identify locations for additional on-street parking.

The public is also invited to take an online questionnaire about the Galveston Avenue project concepts at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/Galveston_Avenue_Community_Questionnaire

More information is available at: www.bendoregon.gov/galveston.This website includes these references to help you respond to the questionnaire:
