COBA chefs event raises $5,000 for Toys for Tots
The Central Oregon Builders Association announced their Holiday Chefs on Tour event presented by Building Solutions raised $5,000 for U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots, which will benefit kids in need throughout Central Oregon.
A check presentation was made Monday at Building Solutions, 62960 Boyd Acres Rd. in Bend.
The builders involved in the Holiday Chefs on Tour event were Woodhill Homes, Structure Development NW, Greg Welch Construction, JD Neel Construction, Stone Bridge Homes NW, Seven Bridge Signature Homes, Tyee Development, & Allen Contracting.
The chefs included La Rosa, Thai Thia, Cascade Catering, Bleu Bite Catering, Pastini’s, Cascade Culinary Institute, Fearless Baking and Little Bite Catering.
Sponsors included presenting sponsor Building Solutions. Supporting sponsors were First Story, Building Partners for Affordable Housing, Harcourts The Garner Group, Northwest Crossing, Henry Company, Technology Design Associates and Hidden Hills.
“We owe the success of this event to the builders, chefs, sponsors and attendees for coming together to help COBA put on a first class event. We thank each of them for taking the time to help children in Central Oregon have a Merry Christmas and for bringing joy into their lives. We’re excited to be able to donate $5,000 on behalf of Building Solution and our COBA members and attendees to Toys for Tots that will bring hope to kids in our community this Christmas,” said Tim Knopp, the Executive Vice-President of COBA.
Central Oregon Toys for Tots distributes toys to children from recognized service agencies such as the Salvation Army, the Boys’ and Girls’ Clubs, Redmond & Sisters Fire Dept., Bend Community Center, Holiday & Happenings in Prineville, burns Tree of Joy, Warms springs Child Protective services, Madras’s Operation Rudolph, and La Pine.
