COCC sets public meetings for president candidates

Central Oregon Community College has set a series of community meetings around the region for the public in coming days to meet and talk with the four finalists to become its next president.

Here’s that schedule:

The Central Oregon Community College Board of Directors will meet in executive session several times this month to conduct interviews and deliberate as part of the process to hire a new president of COCC.

The Executive Sessions are scheduled as follows:

3:15 – 4:45 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 20 with candidate Dr. Leah Bornstein

3:15 – 4:45 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 22 with candidate Dr. Jimmie Bruce

1:15 – 2:45 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 27 with candidate Dr. Tony Miksa

3:15 – 4:45 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 29 with candidate Dr. Jerrilee Mosier

The board will then meet again at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 30 to hear feedback from campus and community groups and begin its deliberation. That meeting is scheduled to last three hours. The board hopes to make its final decision on a new president some time in February.
