EB Hwy. 126 in Redmond to close for RR crossing work

The eastbound lane of Oregon 126 (Highland Avenue) in Redmond will be closed for five days, beginning at 9 a.m. Monday , so crews can replace a railroad crossing, ODOT officials said Thursday.

The closure will be at milepost 0.27 at the railroad tracks just east of Highway 97. The westbound lane will remain open. The estimated date of completion is next Friday, March 27 .

Detour routes

Signed detours will be in place. (See detour map for more information.)

Southbound U.S. 97 traffic heading to Oregon 126 eastbound will take Veterans Way to eastbound Oregon 126. Eastbound Oregon 126 traffic will take U.S. 97 Northbound to Antler Avenue to 9th Street and back to eastbound Oregon 126. Northbound U.S. 97 traffic heading to eastbound Oregon 126 may use Veterans Way to eastbound Oregon 126 or Antler Avenue to 9th Street to eastbound Oregon 126.

Motorists should watch for workers in the area and travel safely around the work zone.
