Knopp, Whisnant set Redmond, Sunriver town halls
State Senator Tim Knopp (R- Bend) and Representative Gene Whisnant (R- Sunriver)announceda joint town hallschedule Friday, March 27th and Saturday, March 28th in Redmond and Sunriver.
Whisnant and Knopp will provide their thoughts on the 2015 Legislative Session, field questions fromconstituents, and seek input from those who are in attendance.

Where: Sunriver Public Library SenatorTimKnopp was previously in the Legislature from 1999 to 2005 for three terms, including one as Oregon House Majority Leader, where he led the PERS Reforms of 2003 that saved taxpayers billions. He was appointed to the Education, Health Care, and Workforce committees for the 2015 Legislative Session. Tim was elected to his first term in the Oregon State Senate in November 2012. Senate District 27 encompasses the Central Oregon communities of Bend, Redmond, Sunriver, and Tumalo.
Representative Gene Whisnant has served in the Oregon House since 2005. He is a retired US Air Force Colonel witha 27 year military career. Genepreviously served as Deputy House Republican Whip and currently serves hisconstituents on the Joint Ways & Means Committee, as well as the Public Safety Subcommittee, Joint Legislative Audits Committee, and is Vice-Chair of the Higher Education, Innovation, and Workforce Development Committee. House District 53 includesRedmond, Tumalo, Sunriver, and parts of Deschutes County.
