Bend Senior Center remodeling set to begin

KTVZ

Preparations got underway Monday for “modest” remodeling work at the Bend Senior Center, Bend Parks and Rec reported.

The projects include re-purposing spaces, updating interior finishes and minor mechanical system improvements. Construction is scheduled to begin on Monday, May 4th and expected to continue through mid-June.

Affected spaces are on the south side of the building and include the computer room, the fitness center and the billards and game room.

During the construction, billiards and weight training will not be available. Visitors can expect some programs to be relocated in the facility but all other programs and activities will be held as regularly scheduled.

For fitness center use, Bend Senior Center pass holders may use their pass for the fitness center at Juniper Swim & Fitness Center.

Owned and operated by Bend Park & Recreation District, the Bend Senior Center is located at 1600 SE Reed Market Rd, directly east of 15th Street. For additional information and schedules, visit www.bendparksandrec.org or call (541) 389-7275.
