Big names coming to Les Schwab Amphitheater

The Memorial Day weekend is the unofficial start of summer, and also happens to be the beginning of the summer concert lineup in Bend’s Old Mill District.

“We’re really excited to kick it off with The Decemberists and Spoon, Jenny Lewis and Ryan Adams, and of course Robert Plant with the Sensational Space Shifters,” Les Schwab Amphitheater Director Marney Smith said Wednesday.

LSA also has a summer concert series on Sundays presented by Bend Memorial Clinic. The concerts are free to attend.

“They are concerts that you typically need a ticket to see elsewhere, and we get between 2,000 and 3,000 people a concert,” Smith said. “It’s fun and it’s free and there’s a lot of dancing that happens.”
