Crooked River Ranch visitor hits Keno jackpot

Visiting friends you haven’t seen in a while is its own reward, but winning Keno while visiting friends doesn’t hurt either.

Jean Casas of Bakersfield, California, took a trip to Crooked River Ranch to visit with her friend Dale, when the two decided to have a meal at the Big Dog Saloon.

Casas decided to have some fun by playing a few games of Keno. When the game finished, she realized she won $59,807.50 playing Special Keno and the 8-Spot.

“I haven’t played Keno in probably 15 years,” Casas said. “The next thing I knew, we hit the 8-spot and I won! Everyone was excited, and it more than paid for my trip.”

Casas claimed her prize Tuesday after the holiday weekend, but before rushing to catch her flight home. She brought Dale with her, as a good luck charm.

“I am thinking about taking my grandkids on one of those Disney cruises with the money,” Casas said.
