Deschutes SO deputy receives outstanding student award
The Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training has awarded Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Shadoe Majetich the Victor G. Atiyeh Outstanding Student award.
This award is named in honor of the former distinguished Governor of the State of Oregon. This prestigious award goes to the student in each basic class who is selected by students and academy staff as the most outstanding student in the class.
The student selected has displayed exceptional professionalism by demonstrating an exemplary attitude and outstanding achievement in leadership, academics, health and fitness, and survival skills. Further, this student is considered to embody the spirit and dedication of the class as a whole, representing the entire group, leading when needed, even if not asked, and representing the profession with a positive demeanor and outlook.
Deputy Majetich started with the Sheriff’s Office as a Patrol Deputy on January 2, 2015 and is a graduate of the Basic Police Class #BP349 from the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training. Deputy Majetich continues his education and training in the Patrol ranks of the Sheriff’s Office.
