Some state parks have new campfire restrictions
Oregon State Parks campfire restrictions are now in place in the Columbia Gorge, the middle and southern portions of the Willamette Valley, on southern Oregon coastal beaches and a few locations east of the Cascades, officials said Tuesday.
Here’s a current list:

What: No campfires or charcoal briquettes. Gas stoves OK.
++Willamette Valley++

What: No campfires or charcoal briquettes. Gas stoves OK.
++East of the Cascades++
Where: Remote camping locations around Prineville Reservoir (developed campgrounds at Prineville State Park and Jasper Point not restricted).
What: No campfires or charcoal briquettes. Gas stoves OK.
Where: Cottonwood Canyon.

Even where fires are allowed, visitors need to exercise caution. Build fires only in fire rings. Attend all fires. Don’t build them larger than necessary. Keep a bucket of water and shovel nearby, and douse thoroughly when finished. Smoking is not permitted in state parks except in personal vehicles and designated campsites.
