New Family Access Network board leaders

Family Access Network Foundation (FAN) announces that Brooke Garcia has been voted in as the new Foundation Board Chair. She joined the FAN board in 2007 and has been serving in a leadership role since 2009.

The official FAN leadership team is now: Brooke Garcia – Board Chair, Valerie Yost – Vice Chair, and Sunny Maxwell – Secretary/Treasurer.

Brooke Garcia is the new Board Chair of the FAN Foundation. She recently retired from the Professional Banking team at Bank of the Cascades and has served on the FAN Boardsince 2007.

Valerie Yost is Vice Chair of the FAN Foundation. She is the Director of Marketing for Brooks Resources, and has served on the FAN Board since 2012.

Sunny Maxwell is the new Secretary/Treasurer of the FAN Foundation. She runsherdesign company, Maxwell Design, specializing in home renovations and interior design, and has served on the FAN Board since 2014.

FAN began inJanuary 1993and currently employs 23 advocates in 46 public schools (K-12) and three early childhood sites. FAN strives to improve lives by ensuring all children in Deschutes County have access to basic-need services. FAN is unique to Deschutes County, utilizing advocates to efficiently reach and connect disadvantaged children and families with basic needs, such as food, shelter, clothing, and health care.
