New St. Charles Prineville opens its doors
At 4 a.m. Monday, St. Charles Prineville, located at 384 SE Combs Flat Road, opened for service, a $30 million successor to Pioneer Memorial Hospital.
The new hospital saw its first patient in the Emergency Department at 4:43 a.m., said St. Charles Health System spokeswoman Lisa Goodman.
The St. Charles Family Care clinic, located inside the hospital, opened at 8 a.m.
Entrances to Pioneer Memorial Hospital have been blocked, and patients are no longer being seen there. Anyone who arrives at the facility with a medical emergency should call 911.
The new health care campus includes a primary care and specialty physician clinic along with hospital services including inpatient beds, an emergency department, surgery suites, a laboratory, imaging services and much more.
