Redmond PD update: Missing teen returns home
Redmond police asked the public for help Friday evening in finding a missing, endangered 17-year-old girl who had not been heard from since earlier in the day. But she later returned home safely.
Police took a report of Katelynn M. Cox, who last was seen at school in Redmond around 8:30 a.m. Sgt. Curtis Chambers said she left, dropping their family’s vehicle off at their house before disappearing.
“It is unknown where she may have gone or who she is with,” Chambers said in a news release.
“Redmond police believe Ms. Cox to be endangered, based upon the circumstances which may be related to her disappearance,” he said. “Information about why she is considered endangered will not be released.”
By 7 p.m., police said Cox had returned home, saying she’d been with friends during the day.
