As part of a $2,500 grant from the Home Instead Senior Care Foundation, The Central Oregon Council on Aging will be able to deliver meals to Central Oregon’s most vulnerable seniors.

The Central Oregon Council on Aging is one of twelve organizations to be awarded grant funding from Home Instead Senior Care Foundation for the fall 2015 grant cycle.

“Our mission is very similar to the Central Oregon Council on Aging, as we both enhance the lives of aging adults and those who care for them,” said Roger H. Baumgart, Executive Director of the Foundation. “We are pleased to provide grant funding to the organization for making a positive difference in the safety, well-being and independence of seniors,” Baumgart said.

“We feel very fortunate that the Home Instead Senior Care Foundation is supporting our local seniors through this grant,” said Todd Sensenbach owner of the Home Instead Senior Care office serving Central Oregon.

The Central Oregon Council on Aging provides more than 75,000 Meals on Wheels to more than 650 seniors in need each years. For 40 years, the Central Oregon Council on Aging has helped to prevent hunger, improve health and promote well-being among seniors throughout Central Oregon.
