Deschutes County seeks audit committee members

KTVZ

Deschutes County is currently accepting applications for its Audit Committee.

Audit Committee members are appointed by the Board of County Commissioners and play a role in overseeing and advising on internal and external audit activities performed for the County. Citizens with financial or local government experience are encouraged to apply.

Committee members are asked to serve a two-year term and are not paid for their time. The Committee meets four times a year, usually on the second Thursday of March, June, September and November from noon to 3 p.m. Additional meetings may be called if necessary. Members are responsible for reviewing documents on their own time to prepare for sessions.

Additional audit committee information is available on the County’s website. To apply, visit www.deschutes.org/jobs and click on Volunteer Openings.

For more information, please contact Deschutes County Internal Auditor David Givans at (541) 330-4674 or email david.givans@deschutes.org.
