Powder Hound Preview, Pine Mountain Sports’ annual “Welcome to Winter” party, brought a full house to the Tower Theater and allowed Pine Mountain Sports to raise $13,455 for Deschutes County Search and Rescue and the Central Oregon Trail Alliance through the sale of raffle tickets as well as a donation from Skjersaa Group-Duke Warner Realty, which kicked off the evening with a $5,000 donation.

This brings the total raised by Powder Hound Preview to more than $60,000 since it was launched.

Powder hound is Central Oregon’s ski film festival, showcasing films and slide shows from local skiers and snowboarders. Pine Mountain Sports owner, Dan McGarigle, the event organizer, gives all of the credit for it’s success to the attendees, many who have been coming since the first year. The event is held each year in November.
