A Redmond woman employed for two months as a Ridgeview High School teachers’ aide before resigning in October faces several charges of furnishing alcohol to minors, as well as allowing them to consume marijuana, officials said Wednesday.

Krista Michelle Floyd, 29, worked at the school since August, teaching credit recovery classes among other duties, according to police reports.

Floyd first was arrested by Redmond police on Nov. 24 on charges including two counts of providing alcohol to minors while employed at the school, police said.

The Redmond School District confirmed Floyd had worked as an educational assistant at Ridgeview but resigned in October. They declined to say why or otherwise comment on the matter Wednesday. NewsChannel 21 reached Floyd on Wednesday, but she did not want to comment on the case.

Police reports obtained by NewsChannel 21 also said Floyd was in a relationship with an 18-year-old student, but that it was “found to be non-criminal and will not be investigated further.”

Redmond police said she provided liquor at an Oct. 15 party at a Redmond home, with several Ridgeview students in attendance, while still employed at the school.

Police said they began investigating after receiving an anonymous complaint about a Ridgeview teacher.

Floyd was arrested again on Friday., this time by Deschutes County sheriff’s deputies, who charged with three counts of furnishing alcohol to minors and four counts of allowing minors to consume marijuana at Eagle Crest Resort, which is outside the city limits.

After her first arrest, she was released from jail on conditions of avoiding alcohol and not contacting the minors allegedly involved.

Floyd is due to return to court on Dec. 29.
