Time to register (or update) to vote in March, May elections

KTVZ

It’s time to register (or change your registration) to vote in the March 8 Bend special election on the 5-cent gas tax, and also a good time to do so for the May 17th primary election.

The Deschutes County March 8 Special Election only includes one item: the City of Bend Motor Vehicle Fuel Tax, Measure 9-105. Ballots will be mailed on Wednesday, February 17.

The last day to register to vote is Tuesday, February 16.

You should update your registration if you’ve moved, changed your name or mailing address since the last election, or want to choose or change your party affiliation.

If you don’t have a current, valid Oregon driver’s license, you must check the appropriate box on the registration card and provide the last four digits of your Social Security number.

You can register to vote online or check your status at the secretary of state’s Website at https://secure.sos.state.or.us/orestar/vr/showVoterSearch.do

Information about the Bend gas tax measure is posted online under Current Elections at Deschutes.org/clerk .
