Sisters city manager placed on leave amid worker complaints
Sisters City Manager Andrew Gorayeb has been placed on paid administrative leave pending the results of an outside investigation of several workplace complaints filed against him, the mayor confirmed Friday.
Sisters Mayor Chris Frye told NewsChannel 21 the workplace complaints are not related to anything in terms of his physical behavior or to the city’s finances. He said it should take one to two weeks for CIS (Citycounty Insurance Services), the city’s insurance carrier, to complete its investigation.
Asked if he still had confidence Gorayeb can fulfill his duties, the mayor said he’d have to let the process unfold and see to make the decision.
Frye said the city’s public works director and city recorder are taking care of the city manager’s responsibilities, with his help as mayor.
