Ponderosa Park skatepark to close a week for maintenance

Bend Park & Recreation District’s Ponderosa Park skatepark at SE 15th Street and Wilson Avenue will be temporarily closed Wednesday, April 20 through Tuesday, April 26 due to a warranty maintenance project.

The skatepark is expected to reopen on Wednesday, April 27.

During the closure, skaters are encouraged to use “Pondi” the old skatepark at the park’s northern end as well as the new skatepark features at The Pavilion.

Use of the skatepark features and other amenities at The Pavilion are available for free during the facility’s “Free Play Week” Monday, April 18 through Friday, April 22, 9:30 am – 1:30 pm and 4:00 – 8:00 pm. The Pavilion is located at 1001 SW Bradbury Way. Skaters will need to wear their helmets.
