Redmond HOPE Playground closed next week for repairs
The city of Redmond’s HOPE Playground will have a temporary closure for repairs. The playground will be closed from Monday to Friday, May 16-20 to address cracks in the flooring, officials said Monday
The playground flooring was installed in September and cracking during the winter time was expected, officials said.
The repairs should take one to two days, with three days needed for the flooring to cure. The closure may be extended if there is inclement weather during the planned repair days, the city said.
“The playground is extremely popular, and it’ll be disappointing for people to not be able to enjoy it for a few days,” said Annie McVay, manager of the city’s Parks Division, “But we hope everyone can respect the maintenance need.”
