“NeighborImpact’s Head Start program supports each student’s developmental needs and works with parents to encircle them with support services such as parenting skills, financial management training, and medical and dental services,” says Dani Wyeth, Head Start’s Family and Community Partnership Manager. “Our goal is to increase school readiness and provide children and families with the skills and resources they need be successful.”
NeighborImpact Head Start has 24 classrooms in 8 locations including Redmond (3 locations), Bend (3 locations), La Pine (1 location), Prineville (1 location). Free school bus transportation is also available in most areas. Parents are encouraged to fill out an application online by visiting our website at www.neighborimpact.org/services/head-start.
“We have seen an uptick in enrollment for 2016-2017, thanks to our Head Start families helping to spread the word and through a more efficient online enrollment process,” says Wyeth. “But we still have space available at our eight locations across Crook and Deschutes counties.”
