The International Association of Fire Fighters is the largest national sponsor of the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Since 1954, firefighters have donated millions of dollars from fundraising efforts in order to help eradicate the forty different debilitating neuromuscular diseases that are Muscular Dystrophy.

This Saturday, you can help in the battle against Muscular Dystrophy by “Filling the Boot.” Bend firefighters will be at the intersections of Franklin and Bond Street, and Franklin and Wall Street in downtown Bend from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm accepting cash and check donations to help support the work of the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Last year the Bend Firefighters Association raised over $8,000 for MDA, our goal this year is to raise $10,000. Your support gives families affected by Muscular Dystrophy hope for the future and support in the present.
