Bend’s busy 27th Street facing 2 years of sewer turmoil
Next month, the city of Bend will kick off a nearly two-year construction project to build a new sewer line down 27 th Street — a hub for medical, retail, employment and residential users, the city announced Monday as it invited the public to two meetings to learn more and get questions answered.
“This will bring considerable construction and heavy equipment to the area as crews dig significant” — as in deep, through rock — “trenches along the 27 th Street corridor and into Medical Center Drive,” the announcement said.
“This project will change how thousands of Bend residents access medical facilities, shopping and more,” the city news release continued.
